Norton's latest internet security software boasts improved performance over its predecessor, but lacks effective anti-spam controls, according to one reviewer.
PC Advisor claims Norton's filtering tools are slow and are out-performed by rivals such as Avira and Avast!
Norton Internet Security 2009 has less of an impact on CPU and memory usage than the previous version and has a new, simplified user interface, the review website states.
PC Advisor said: "The protection it offers is hard to beat though its spam controls could be better."
The software also includes an Identity Safe, which users can fill with sensitive information needed for online banking, gaming and shopping, in the fight against ID fraud.
According to the site, the installation process took about a minute.
In related news, a new study by MessageLabs, which provides businesses with internet services, found that Egham receives more unsolicited emails than any other town in the UK, reports Staines News.
