A new high definition digital camera has been launched by Sanyo, which may tempt those looking for discount codes.
The eight megapixel Xacti DMX-HD800 can capture both still images and videos and take photos while a video is being filmed, Tech Gadgets reports.
Available in gold, pink and black, the lightweight device is PC compatible so files can be added easily to hard drives and videos uploaded onto the internet, the publication says.
Data can be saved on the camera using SD/SDHC memory cards while its face detection mode can recognise up to 12 faces.
Hideki Toyada, general manager of Sanyo's digital system company, said: "The DMX-HD800 has not only been designed to be sleek and stylish, but it now offers our unique three-dimensional digital noise reduction (3DDNR) filter, which allows clear, beautiful images with simple operation of a dual camera offering high resolution stills and HD videos in a single unit."
Meanwhile, electronics maker Leaf has unveiled the AFi 10, a new 56 megapixel medium-format digital camera.
The camera's sensor, which features a 56 by 36 millimetre True Wide Frame (TWF), can rotate internally, enabling users to take landscape and portrait photos without having to tilt the device.
