Internet radio website Radiopaq has launched a new standalone radio that uses built-in wi-fi to connect to online broadcasts.
The new device, called the Rp5, has access to thousands of radio broadcasts from across the world through Radiopaq's online repository of radio-stations.
Radiopaq claims that the technology will pave the way for the future of online radio and will allow users to search for the exact radio content they want at the push of a button.
Content on Radiopaq.com is searchable by name, genre and language and the Rp5 can synchronise with the website giving listeners access to their saved list of favourite radio stations.
Prash Vadgama, president of Radiopaq, said: "We believe that the Radiopaq offering, with its seamless interaction between the website and the hardware, is the future of radio."
"It's the simplest way to find and manage all the internet radio content you want," he added.
The Rp5 is being launched in September, according to T3, and will cost £250.
