New MacBook 'already shipping'

Apple is rumoured to be ready to launch a new aluminium MacBook.

According to several internet reports, manufacturers working on the new notebook have already started shipping the new devices to Apple's Cupertino headquarters.

It has been reported that Citigroup analyst Richard Gardner told investors that Apple's latest MacBook offering would come in a "very thin aluminium casing, an LED-backlit display and an aggressive entry-level price point".

Christopher Phin, the deputy editor of MacFormat said: "It's certainly conceivable that Apple will release new laptops at Paris."

He added that rumours circulating that the MacBook's are already being shipped were more difficult to disprove than usual.

Meanwhile, a report by cnet.com claimed that the MacBook air is not at the cutting-edge of notebook technology like it was when it was released in January of this year.

The news provider said that insiders believe that a new notebook will be unveiled by Apple in October.
