Leaf has launched the AFi 10, a new medium-format digital camera with a 56 megapixel sensor.
Capable of rotating internally, the sensor enables users to take landscape and portrait photos without having to tilt the device.
"With one finger you can flip the sensor from landscape to portrait and back, giving you the power to quickly capture 56 million pixel resolution in both landscape and portrait orientations," Leaf claims.
Featuring a 56 by 36 millimetre True Wide Frame (TWF), the sensor can also restore lenses to their full angel of view and can deliver 56 megapixel resolution across the entire width of the camera's 6x6 sensor area.
A release date and price for the AFi 10, which is due to be distributed in the UK by Peartree Photo, are yet to be announced.
In other camera news, Pentax has unveiled the latest addition to its Optio M series of lightweight digital cameras, which may tempt bargain code holders.
The ten megapixel Optio M60 has a metal exterior, 5X optical zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD monitor while its auto picture function can detect the optimal mode for eight scenes.
