Laptop manufacturer Dell has announced its Latitude E4200 will offer users an instant-on feature, according to one reviewer.
Allowing users to access their emails and surf the web without booting the computer up, Dell's latest laptop will be available before Christmas, according to PC Advisor.
Uncovered at the Mobility in a Connected Era conference in Monte Carlo this week, the new feature bypasses the computer's processor and operating system to achieve the instant internet access as soon as the lid is lifted.
The Latitude E4200 comes with an Intel Core Duo 2 processor, 1GB of RAM and a choice of either a 64GB or 120GB solid-state hard drive and will be the first laptop by Dell to feature the company's instant-on technology.
In related news, Dell published new research which found that the top three things IT professionals look for in a notebook are productivity, design and peace of mind.
